BEST WESTERN GRUENER BAUM

We stayed in this hotel for 1 night with our daughter (11 years old). The welcome was unfortunately very reserved; that is not what one wishes for on vacation. We were presented with a piece of paper with the most important key points, but that was all there was to it. The hotel is very confusing, as has been mentioned here several times. The path to the outdoor pool is long and like a labyrinth. A pull-out couch was prepared for our daughter, which, however, had a huge gap and was therefore very uncomfortable. The rooms are extremely noisy. We had a room facing the street. Perhaps the other rooms are better. The ladies at breakfast seemed very stressed and unfriendly. Only our waiter was very attentive and friendly. The only positive things I can mention here are the outdoor pool, the beautiful lawn (it is very quiet here), and the perfect location. We will not book this hotel again, as the price-performance ratio does not work for us.

We stayed at this hotel for only one night and I must say that overall we were satisfied. Very close to the center of Bressanone, with the possibility of parking on the street or in the hotel garage (for a fee). Clean room, various services offered, good breakfast. Let's say the real flaw was the cleaning lady who at 8:30 AM decided it was a good idea to knock because she had to clean the room!!! On a Sunday morning, it really wasn't a good wake-up call! Otherwise, valid.

A charming hotel, although somewhat clearly aged in places, in an ideal location for a stay in Brixen. Unfortunately, the overall impression is ruined by the completely inadequate air conditioning in the rooms. The air conditioning could not be set below 23 °C at night (not below 22 °C during the day) – temperatures that were never reached in our room anyway. The result was a nearly sleepless night. With room prices over €300, it is simply unacceptable to advertise rooms as air-conditioned when the system performs so poorly. It's a shame, because without this serious problem, we would have likely enjoyed our stay. After this experience, we will not book the hotel again – not even in the cooler seasons.
