Hotel Clara

We spontaneously got a room at 9 PM for 1 night. Super nice room, very, very clean, breakfast was very delicious 😋 and plentiful, even the boss brought us coffee, really very nice hotel, also all the staff super nice, only we found the female boss a bit rude, my husband asked her how far the village of Schabs is and he got a snappy answer \"She wouldn't know and doesn't know the village\" for your info: it is approx. 6 km away!! Other guests were welcomed more warmly. Too bad!!

Disorganized reception, slightly distant location, and the 10:00 AM check-out are a bit bad, but overall the hotel is excellent.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in the month of August in a comfort room with a balcony. From the photos on the site we expected much more and instead we were disappointed. The hotel is small and family-run, but you don't feel this atmosphere from the staff who appear cold and distant with the clientele. The room had a good size, but with old furniture and few places to hang towels in the bathroom. It has no air conditioning or a minibar. The breakfast offer is a bit limited, especially after a certain time and with products of not great quality. Same thing for the appetizer and salad buffet in the evening. The dinner courses, however, were good and with generous portions. The feeling, however, is that of being in a company cafeteria where, after a certain hour, the staff can't wait to clear the tables and finish their shift as soon as possible, so much so that at 8:30 PM the guests at the few tables still present felt forced to get up because everything was already ready for breakfast. In the hotel there is a small bar that doesn't entice you to sit down for a coffee or a herbal tea, because there is no music, no one at the counter and no guests. The atmosphere immediately after dinner is non-existent; so after finishing dinner, either everyone goes to their own room (around 9:00 PM) or has to go out on their own and reach Bressanone or other locations (everything is closed around the hotel too). The outdoor pool and the small spa area are pleasant.
