Obviously it is not a 4-star, maybe it was once.... but a very, very long time ago!
The positive things:
- It is in the center but far from the road and the noise
- 200m from the cable car (the only one in Campitello)
- Outdoor parking lot limited by a barrier and guarded, very large
- The structure from the outside is very beautiful and well-kept, looking at it from the outside you get a very different idea compared to how it is inside!
- The spa is definitely tiny, but it has everything, the lady who manages it is smiling and nice (you have to choose the time well if you want to go there because it opens at 3:00 PM and from 4:30 PM it is crowded).
The positive notes end here unfortunately.
The room is truly a scandal, it does not reflect in the slightest the photographs displayed on the site, they are very old rooms. (see photo)
We had a Junior Suite so by rights it should have been one of the best.... wooden beds all peeled... forget about a double bed because they are two beds pushed together... minibar price tags stuck with tape on the wooden door of the room.... the bathrooms are super old, the showers are truly tiny (there were two bathrooms in the junior suite).
The icing on the cake is the terrace, a very low partition that if the neighbor is on the terrace they can easily see into your room (not even in a two-star hourly hotel), result... curtains always closed.
The bathrobes you find in the room are very old, full of holes... just from wear and tear.
In the dining area the tables are very close to each other... worse than in a pizzeria, a pity because the room would actually be nice.
Breakfast.... they focus a lot on quantity and abundance but the quality of the products is not great... same for dinner; dinner is in any case definitely better than breakfast, wine list reduced to the bare minimum.
In the room there was a table with two benches, at mountain huts at 2,500m they definitely have better ones.... I really don't know who has been on those cushions.
Ah..... it feels like being in a kennel... they accept dogs of all sizes even more than one; if someone has a dog maybe it's a plus.
Lastly.... you unload and load your luggage yourself... as they said at reception they don't have staff for this.
I certainly didn't think I was at the Adler in Ortisei.... but I certainly wouldn't have expected a dilapidated room like that and with services reduced to the bare minimum.
This hotel needs a complete renovation, in every sense.

Excellent hotel, perfect location for getting around.
Spacious and clean rooms, and top-notch breakfasts and dinners.

Overall a satisfactory stay. Clean room, comfortable mattresses, just a bit noisy compared to the room next door separated only by an internal door (dog barking often). Interior decor that in my opinion needs a refresh (especially the dining room). Parking and location are excellent (especially compared to the Col Rodella chairlift which can be reached in a few steps). In general, therefore, it is recommendable, even if I would have expected something more from a 4-star hotel.
