Hotel Aurora

The hotel is very centrally located in the middle of the city, right on the Passer Promenade. From there, you can easily explore the worth-seeing city on foot. The reception was very nice and friendly, as was the entire staff at the hotel. Even though a part was renovated in the summer of 2026, there are still some older rooms. Ours was already getting on in years, was designed in a somewhat original way, but was definitely very clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable and pleasant. The breakfast buffet was generous and of very good quality. Admittedly not completely over-the-top, but still everything there that you need to start a new day well. And very nicely and attractively presented. The staff was also very nice and friendly here. On nice days, you can also have breakfast on the terrace facing the promenade. We were traveling by bike. There is a bicycle storage room in the basement for this purpose. That is not entirely easy with the somewhat heavier e-bikes these days. Going down is still somewhat manageable, but getting them out becomes a challenge. But the staff helps out here as well, and so it worked out for us. Especially because you know that the bikes are stored securely. In summary, it was a very good hotel for us. For an "Excellent" rating, the "wow" factor was just somehow missing.

Historic, central, elegant, modern hotel, partly renovated with plants and flowers, very well-maintained. Spacious room with a nice balcony, breakfast could be improved. Reception and breakfast staff not up to 4-star standards. Too bad! It remains a positive review overall for the beauty, location, and family history.

Hotel in an excellent location with respect to services and the center of shopping and small restaurants. Entrance, reception area, bar and conversation area in a very beautiful and unique modern style. Modern and unique rooms in terms of decor and lighting. The only flaw was that ours had slightly worn decor but it was still quite functional and extremely clean. Rich and abundant buffet breakfast. Kind staff. Average prices.
