Hotel Monzoni

Good morning, I was a guest at this three-star hotel???? for three days. I must premise that I usually do not write reviews, but in this case, it is necessary. Parking is non-existent, and it is a race to see who arrives and parks first. My room for two people was spacious and decently clean; the only very important flaw was the tiny 100x100 shower; it is hard to get into, let alone wash in. Another very important flaw is the catering. Breakfast is at the bare minimum and not always well-maintained; only 1 coffee machine. Having opted for half-board, the dinner dishes, both the first and second courses, are third-world; for those who know a little bit about it, raw pasta, raw vegetables, sauces and condiments that are very spicy and without any particular taste, the fish main courses were horrendous, dessert passable. TRULY, IT IS NOT CLEAR WHO PREPARES THE DISHES AND IF THEY ARE COMPETENT ---- DISINTERESTED ADVICE -- CHANGE COOK AND MENU ------ NOT TO RETURN ----- NEVER AGAIN

Strange and very closed-off staff, a typical welcome as cold as the mountain peaks surrounding the hotel... as soon as we arrived, problems already started, such as the use of the parking lot in front of the hotel, which was also abusively used by non-guests (we had to park 5 minutes away and carry heavy suitcases by hand). The room is clean but seems to be furnished not just for a couple, given the presence of bunk beds in addition to the double bed; the shower only had a side glass panel, so for those like me who use the handheld showerhead, it was practically a lake once the shower was finished, considering the bathroom. One rainy evening we decided to stay at the hotel for dinner; on the menu, there were only 3 first courses and 3 second courses listed, very similar to each other and poorly assorted with completely random ingredients, with a mix of seafood, land, and raw vegetables inside a horror broth... for dessert, my girlfriend had some delicious fresh fruit chosen by the chef (two tangerines, a bit of grapes, and an apple, all to be peeled). Positive note: the girls at the reception were kind.

DISASTROUS experience! We arrived on August 8th and from the very first evening we encountered a total lack of professionalism from the restaurant service, with requests for our room number every 5 minutes in order to bring the dishes. We were with our small child and when asking to have the first courses brought out early, the wait times were absurd. The staff wandered aimlessly around the dining room, masking their incompetence with inappropriate jokes. The climax came on the third day when we decided to abandon the restaurant because after a full 50 minutes from the opening of the dining room (with various reminders and the usual response "it's coming"), not even the dish we had requested for our 18-month-old son had been delivered to us! Back at the hotel, we found several other angry guests complaining that that dinner was also disastrous in terms of the quality of the food, with foul-smelling fish. We left the property the following day, desperately looking for other accommodation to turn the vacation around. It is a chain with owners from Puglia, so it was not possible to speak with an owner and get a refund. The manager was mortified but could not do anything to resolve this very unpleasant situation.
