Gardesana

Good experience. Professional welcome.

I stayed at this hotel for one night only, it was absurd. I arrive and I am handed a room outside the Hotel in an old iron door, it looked like a hostel, paid 99 euros plus 2 tourist tax, with very old and sad furniture, the toilets were really indecent for the price paid. An outdated air conditioner that I didn't turn on because it didn't inspire at all, the mini fridge was thrown there near the bedside table and was so noisy that to sleep I had to unplug. I asked for a sheet because it was not present on the bed, there was only the sheet on the mattress and apart from a duvet, instead in the booking photos you just happen to see the sheet neatly arranged on the bed. My request was granted but the sheet was left directly in my room so on my return from dinner I also had to make the bed myself. To have breakfast in the morning I did not have direct access but I had to cross this external avenue adjacent to the Hotel and it was not pleasant given the cold that there was early in the morning. I state that I had spent the previous two nights in a nearby hotel where I did not find the third night, it was a 4 star hotel and I paid less than I paid here and of course it was a very welcoming hotel, I can not say the same about the Hotel Gardesana. My room was 303, it is not worth more than 40 euros as accommodation, I do not know the other rooms, I did not have the "pleasure" of being able to see them.

We stayed here in August 2025. It was a return visit for us as we stayed here last year also. The Gardesana yet again was a wonderful stay. The rooms are so comfortable and well done to all the accommodation staff. The breakfast set us up for wonderful days exploring and cycling and trekking around lake Garda. The hot and cold buffet has such a variety to choose from. The pool area is so relaxing with a wonderful choice of drinks and cocktails to choose from. We look forward to our return and a special mention to Rocco and his wonderful team.
