Hotel Portici

Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience for several reasons, which we already explained to the reception. First of all, something that has never happened to us in many years of traveling, we were asked to settle the bill at check-in without being shown the room first. Added to this are the defects of the accommodation. They reserved a small room for us on the top floor in the attic, which is accessed by a flight of stairs, and with a stroller, it is not exactly convenient. Very hot room with a small window, windowless bathroom with no exhaust fan. Towels for only 2 people, even though there were 3 of us, and every day we had to ask the reception to have the missing ones brought for the child. No typical 4-star amenity kit, just liquid soap that was not refilled once it ran out. In addition, the room cleaning leaves something to be desired: hair in the bathroom upon arrival, dust in the corners and under the bed. High price, service not up to 4-star standards. Positive aspects: excellent location for visiting the center on foot, partner parking just outside the limited traffic zone. Varied breakfast, of sufficient quality. Breakfast room staff kind.

Wonderful location tucked just away from the lake by a café-lined square. Stylish, quirky and modern boutique hotel. Only 55 rooms. Everywhere looked immaculate. Buffet breakfast was superb with everything you might want. My room 101 was the smallest in the hotel but was superbly designed, probably recently refurbished as it was immaculate. Excellent. Particular mention for the bar and reception staff who were all superb. Friendly, helpful, accessible, and professional. In addition, separate thanks to Leonardo(?) on reception who skilfully managed to source a doctor for me for a medical issue which had become quite urgent. I thank him (and the doctor) profusely as I dont know what I would have done without them. Hotel Portici has my eternal thanks. Your staff are excellent on every level. Thank you all.

A wonderful hotel, centrally located in Riva. Top modern rooms with air conditioning and large spacious room. Nice staff, whether at reception or service. Clean establishment, whether in the room or in the hotel. Delicious food. Large, rich breakfast buffet. The hotel is centrally located.
