A charming hotel, although somewhat clearly aged in places, in an ideal location for a stay in Brixen. Unfortunately, the overall impression is ruined by the completely inadequate air conditioning in the rooms. The air conditioning could not be set below 23 °C at night (not below 22 °C during the day) – temperatures that were never reached in our room anyway. The result was a nearly sleepless night. With room prices over €300, it is simply unacceptable to advertise rooms as air-conditioned when the system performs so poorly. It's a shame, because without this serious problem, we would have likely enjoyed our stay. After this experience, we will not book the hotel again – not even in the cooler seasons.

The hotel is located in an exceptional position, right behind the cathedral of Bressanone. Moreover, despite being in the center, it is easily reachable from the train station. Let's say that the main advantage ends here. The structure itself is very large and sprawling (it consists of several connected buildings) and not easy to navigate. Furthermore, the staff is limited and not present in all areas. For example, the wellness area (located on multiple floors) does not have staff present. Additionally, the amenities in the rooms are scarce. Indeed, it is now common to find a kettle, a complimentary bottle of water, and a more extensive vanity set in a four-star hotel. Here, however, there is nothing. Even in the sauna area, everything was quite shabby; there was nothing to relax with, just some (industrial) herbal teas and water. Stop. The outdoor pool area, on the other hand, is very beautiful, but again, there is zero staff. The breakfast was varied but more suited to a three-star hotel. Staff was present, but the service was not at its best. The pastries were frozen and not particularly good. The savory options were quite rich, although I would have preferred a greater presence of local products. In conclusion, the hotel is convenient for its location but quite outdated in terms of what it offers.

Everything about the hotel was great. Staff treated every request with concern and attention. We had food once, was very satisfactory. Room was quite nice.
