Kronplatz-Resort Hotel Kristall

Hotel located just outside the town, peace and calm reign. Uncovered parking along the street. Perfect place for those who truly want relaxation. The possibility of being able to book excursions already organized at the hotel is very interesting. Large, comfortable, and clean room. Excellent pool/spa area with towels and bathrobes in the room with daily changes. Solarium and gym with all new equipment on the top floor. The cuisine is gourmet and is excellent. You can notice the refinement of the raw materials in the dishes, excellent pairings. A special round of applause goes to all the dining room staff, the chefs, and the hotel staff; congratulations, we felt at home. We will definitely return.

We stayed at the hotel for 7 nights in the month of August. I am fully satisfied and I definitely recommend it. The property is well-maintained, furnished in a modern and neat way. Our room had everything necessary including a large terrace with a view of the valley and was very clean. The pool and spa area is more than excellent, the heated outdoor and indoor pool, 3 saunas at different temperatures, beautiful relaxation area, and outdoor whirlpool. In the room, there are bathrobes and towels with the appropriate bag. A special mention to the cuisine, dishes always different and unique. Great care also in the setting of the tables. My experience was excellent.

We stayed for a week at Hotel Kristall and overall the experience was positive, even though there are some aspects that, for a 4-star hotel in this price range, we feel deserve more attention. Among the strong points are certainly the SPA, which is very beautiful and pleasant, the property in general, which is well-maintained and welcoming, and above all our Deluxe Panorama room, which was spacious, comfortable, and definitely above average. A very positive note also for the reception staff, who were always very kind, helpful, and professional. The part that convinced us less, however, was the gastronomic side. The cuisine often seemed a bit bland to us, with dishes that were sometimes too elaborate in their presentation but less convincing in taste. One perceives a style that is not very Italian and, personally, we would have preferred a simpler, more authentic, and flavorful cuisine, especially since we were in South Tyrol. The breakfast and dinner buffets also did not seem particularly rich to us: we have stayed in lower-category hotels and found a decidedly wider selection. The afternoon snack, honestly, was probably the most disappointing aspect: for the level of the hotel and how the 3/4 board is presented, we really expected something more. 😅 Another point to improve is the parking: if you return after 5:00 PM, it can become quite difficult to find an available spot. In conclusion, the property, rooms, SPA, and staff are certainly of a good standard, but considering the cost of the stay, we would have expected something more, especially regarding the cuisine, buffet, and gastronomic offerings. With a significant improvement in this aspect, the Hotel Kristall could become a truly excellent property.
