Hotel Brenner

Excellent location for a stopover when driving over the Brenner Pass. 1. Quick and easy to reach from the highway. Follow the directions that the hotel sends with the booking. If you follow the GPS, it might lead you through the rest stop (toll required!). 2. Although it was right across from the rest stop and truck traffic, it was really quiet with the window closed. 3. 24h check-in via a machine that issues the room card immediately after entering your name and booking number. Supposedly you have to pay in advance (bring a physical card; Apple/Google Pay does not work); however, we only needed to pay the next day at the reception. Perhaps because a credit card was stored for security when booking via booking.com. 4. Modern rooms, bright with lots of real wood and they smell very pleasantly subtle of fresh wood (stone pine?). Only our bathrooms were not brand-newly renovated, but still appealing and tip-top clean. Rooms and bathrooms are pleasantly large. 5. Very good breakfast, mixed Italian/German influence and many local products. There should be something for everyone there. 6. Checkout was fast and really friendly. Parking spaces and bicycle garage available. Apparently, many guests were there not only for a stopover but also for hiking and cycling. The only disadvantage for a longer stay would be that it is better to take a bicycle or a car to get to the next town.

Super clean place and very easy check in. Located directly on the highway. Ideal for a stopover. The rooms are always large and friendly and the breakfast is very extensive. We have stayed here many times in transit to Italy and were always very satisfied

I absolutely recommend this property even for stays longer than a touch and run. Very kind staff, large and clean rooms, top services and wonderful breakfast
