Hotel Airone del Parco e delle Terme

We stayed at this hotel between the end of August and the beginning of September, the double room had two single beds pushed together, unfortunately it didn't have a double bed..., the furniture was a bit old, especially in the bathroom it was very noticeable, the sink faucet was not only old but it was loose, the shower head was really dirty when we arrived, black with limescale around it, so much so that I immediately asked the cleaning lady if she could clean it because it was truly disgusting... apart from this parenthesis, the towels and the room were tidied up every day, in the mini fridge there were 2 bottles of water, and that's it. The buffet breakfast was good and varied in an international style, dinner instead offered 3 types of menus every evening, including appetizers, first courses and second courses, the side dishes and desserts were buffet style. Honestly, the dishes were of low quality, many frozen things, plated with care but there was little substance. The side dishes are what disappointed us the most, as it was all raw stuff and little choice, only lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, and some canned beans... The desserts prepared by a young chef were not bad apart from the baba which tasted only of alcohol, truly inedible. Inside the facility there is a nice large swimming pool, with seawater, a swimming pool for the little ones and a hot tub, next to it there is also a small beach. All around there is beautiful greenery, well-kept and clean, then for sports enthusiasts there are also courts for padel, tennis and if you want you can also rent bikes to go on nice trips, in addition to other sports services that we did not use. Next to the pool there is a nice bar, with kind and competent staff. Overall we had a good time but 4 stars seem exaggerated to me, perhaps they should change the furniture and the menu, with fresh stuff, rather than using predominantly frozen products.

Beautiful residence, ideal for families. Pool, sea, entertainment, everything within reach and a stone's throw from Portoferraio, the main hub also for visiting the entire island. The quality of the food is also excellent, both because it is varied and because of the chef's reinterpretation of the recipes. Very kind and professional staff, excellent cleanliness.

I have never written a negative review because something like this has never happened to me; we point out that we go on vacation 3/4 times a year. Anyway, I call to book 6 days with them and I point out that I have a disabled child who does not walk and does not eat breakfast or dinner because she does not eat. The quote arrives and there are 2 rooms with half board; I call and point out that I had communicated that my daughter does not eat orally and that, kindly, if they could remove the fee for the 6 dinners for my daughter, I was not interested in the breakfasts. The response was (we have this policy; if you do half board for the rest of the family, your daughter must also pay). But I ask myself, not because I have a disabled person at home, but the answer they gave me was: if it suits you, fine, otherwise do not accept the quote. I will say only one thing: shame. Shame
