Hotel Cernia Isola Botanica

A special house in an excellent location with a small but fine botanical garden. The facility is getting on in years - it looked exactly the same 15 years ago - but everything is clean and tidy. The rooms are simple but tastefully furnished. We even had a small terrace with a view of the beautiful garden with a variety of trees and flowers of all kinds. There are also small rooms facing the street where it can sometimes get a bit noisy. The staff was predominantly friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was a highlight, especially if you had one of the few seats on the small terrace in front of the restaurant. Dogs in the breakfast room are not really necessary. But we would gladly come back again, especially since it is a 5 min walk in the evening to the beach with 2 very good restaurants. The beach itself is very narrow and overcrowded during the day.

A charming 3-star hotel set in a picturesque garden full of varied vegetation, not far from the sea (it is noted, for those who wish, a shaded little garden with access to the sea among the cliffs, which the hotel provides for its guests as a detached area) that projects you into a colorful bucolic world, giving you the feeling of being in an exotic island. Amidst such green beauty, the beautiful and vast pool dominates. These features take center stage and allow you to overlook a few minor flaws. We were in the so-called. House in the Rock, with balconies and/or patio with sea view, a detached area and advisable for living even more in contact with nature. Rooms are not large, not particularly beautiful, in rustic style, but valid in terms of price-quality ratio. The hotel, unlike other competitors of similar standing nearby, no longer has an in-house restaurant.. which is unfortunate since there are few options in Sant'Andrea and it is difficult to get around by car in the evening. However, it offers, in the evening, for those who do not want to move but want to have a bite to eat, a snack service at the table. The bar also has good bottles and the cocktails are well made. The breakfast is not extensive but still satisfactory in relation to the hotel category (especially when you find the excellent bananas from the garden trees!). Absolute silence at night, which allows you to complete that picture of relaxation that this location instills in you. Accommodation prices are absolutely reasonable. There are many convenient parking spaces for hotel use. Perhaps a full marks judgment may seem a bit too much, but the uniqueness of the whole, as mentioned, provides an excellent counterpoint!

Quiet house without party people.
