Hotel Resort Lacona

I stayed at the TH Lacona from August 30 to September 6 with my husband and my 3 and 7-year-old children, on a full-board plan. Starting out aware that this hotel had only been taken over by TH a few months ago, and that therefore there would certainly be improvements to be made, we were truly satisfied with our vacation. The pool, located inside the property, needs some further maintenance, as do some rooms (not ours, which is among those that have been renovated). The room, already ready at 12:30 PM on the day of our arrival, was clean and had spaces functional for our stay; upon arrival, we mentioned the need to return to the room after lunch to sleep with our little one, and this requirement was always respected by the cleaning staff. Moving on to the restaurant, we always ate well, we were welcomed with courtesy, and the menu was always varied and with various alternatives, including vegetarian or vegan; the maitre d' Massimiliano and the chef were truly attentive and available for our needs. The entertainment is another strong point of this TH! We want to thank: Astrid, who provided the soundtrack to our days with her voice, along with Angelo and Teodor, the technicians; Almerico, with the entire daytime staff, Valerio, Chiara, Giada, Alessia, Elena, Gennaro, for making our days and evenings lively; the mini club staff, Matilda, Raffaella, and Johnatan, for entertaining our little ones and spending so much time with them; last but not least, Alessia for not only recommending her excursions, but for helping us discover the wonders of the island of Elba. The hotel's location is excellent, close to Lacona beach, reachable through the pine forest, ideal for families, with transparent, gently sloping water, suitable for snorkeling. The gated parking lot is included in the stay, as are the walks proposed by the entertainment staff, in particular by Gennaro, which helped us discover Laconella and Capo di Stella, a few steps from the village.

Negative notes: Dated property with much room for improvement. Positive notes: very beautiful place with a beach very close to the property, electric car charging 400 meters away TOP notes: special entertainment in all aspects (a note of merit to the great Gennaro) and special compliments to the chef and his staff, rarely eaten this well

I left for this vacation a bit worried after reading some reviews and instead it was a beautiful vacation. It is true that the property would need a bit of maintenance in some common areas but the room was comfortable, with a new and well-equipped bathroom, the only flaw being the difficulty in hanging towels and swimsuits since there is no balcony, the bar area and small square are very nice and always with musical entertainment, the reception is also comfortable and beautiful. We did not use the beautiful pool due to the mandatory swim cap which for me is annoying and useless. The restaurant is excellent for quality and quantity of food and especially for service. The entertainment is nice, the guys are good, maybe they could do something more as an evening show, for example a cabaret. It is true that there is no shower on the beach but we visited several beaches and all with the same lack. Location relative to the beach is excellent and easy to get to the most beautiful places on the island, bus to Capoliveri that passes in front of the resort, car rental just a stone's throw away.
