ABSOLUTE DISAPPOINTMENT! I stayed on 9/3/2026 at this 4-star Hotel (at a cost of €220 per night!) located in an ancient Monastery where they advertise elegant and refined suites in which the charm of history is combined with modern comfort. Meanwhile, the Monastery is closed and the adjoining structure is so dilapidated that there is not even a room for the breakfast buffet. The rooms located in external structures present this type of refined shower (see photo 1) where the water stagnates on the bottom. Very refined then is the breakfast... brought to the room, because they do not have a common room, inside a wooden crate (see photo 2). Note that this would be the breakfast for two people from a 4-star hotel at a cost of €220 per night. I leave any comment to you. AN ABSOLUTE DISAPPOINTMENT! The historical context and the atmosphere of the village are fascinating, but unfortunately the level of service absolutely does not reflect what one expects from a Relais. The parking lot is far from the accommodations and there is no porter service. Breakfast, at a cost of $12 per person, is delivered outside the room in a box: an inelegant choice, a rather poor offering, and definitely not proportional to the price and the setting. Another very negative aspect: on Booking it was indicated that there was an on-site restaurant which, during our stay, was not operational. Considering that the property is isolated and that you necessarily have to take the car to have dinner, it is information that is anything but irrelevant. The rooms also need more care: dated furnishings that are not very consistent with the historical charm of the Abbey, minimal or non-existent complimentary toiletries, and, in the morning, continuous noises coming from cleaning on the upper floors that make it difficult to rest. A place with enormous potential, penalized by management and services that cannot be defined as a relais but rather a historic residence with rooms.

I am still upset with what I expected this hotel to be like through booking.com and what it was not. We expected a restaurant with refined dining as per images on line. We expected a beautiful pool and Jacuzzi with spa treatments. This was the last hotel on our trip. Most expensive and the worst! (There are other positive reviews, I wonder if they paid less? Or if it was clear this was self accommodation stay?) We arrived to an aged mouldy pool. Murky luke warm jacuzzi that rattled. Assigned seating no where near the pool. No restaurant. Massages available after 6pm because the masseuse works at the place I would rather be. Self accommodating set up. The room was clean the bed was comfortable. The shower had no consistent temperature. The shower door was not fully fixed. The light above the sink did not work. We had some cockroaches in the living room. On arrival the front door would not shut unless locked. They later fixed this. I wanted to cancel the booking once I realised there was no restaurant and saw the pool but was not granted unless paying the full price. We were told the day before we arrived there was no restaurant after we could not cancel the booking. They said it was clear on their website site (not true) booking.com still says there is a restaurant. And the link to the hotel portal sent to us said there was a restaurant. The pictures were all very misleading. I received a complimentary massage, the masseuse was good but the setting was a back room with no comforts, no music not even a towel to cover myself.
