Agriturismo San Giorgio

we spent 3 nights at this place. excellent location for the enchanting setting, just 15 min from Siena. Simple apartments in Tuscan style. We enjoyed the beautiful, sunny, clean, and scenic pool very much. Place suitable for families thanks to the presence of a small farm and play area right next to the pool. Negative notes: The swing seat for the kids was visibly rusty. What prevents us from giving a high rating is a rather regrettable incident. Following the first night we woke up with a few bites, blaming the classic mosquitoes, but the second night was a nightmare for one of us; upon waking, shoulders, chest, and legs were full of aligned bites... and very itchy... upon inspecting the bed, at that point we found bed bugs walking along the sheets. We brought the matter to the property's attention with a video, and they promptly provided a change of sheets and cleaning of the room, but as is obvious in these cases, these insects must be treated with an extermination. The cleaning ladies apologized several times, while the property seemed more annoyed and reluctant to believe the report despite the video and physical evidence. For those who might be going soon, make sure that apartment no. 2 has received proper sanitization. What we would have expected, also given the presence of a 2-year-old child, was an apartment change, but that was not the case, and furthermore, the stay was paid in full without us receiving even a discount, at least to apologize for the physical harm suffered.

Lovely place, typical Tuscan farmhouse immersed in a dream landscape. Ideal for spending a few days of pure relaxation. Unfortunately, some things should be improved. First of all, we found one of the rooms full of dead bees (even on the bed): it was explained that they had exterminated a few days earlier. Considering the daily cost of the rooms, it would take more attention and certainly a different attitude to a fact that should not have occurred: the change of sheets requested by us (clearly dutiful) was not done. Breakfast without infamy and without praise, 10 euros is absolutely excessive for what is offered. I find it inconceivable that the client should be asked to take out the rubbish (for those who rent the entire apartment): cleaning the dustbins is part of the cleaning cost paid by the client! Also relative to the entire apartment, we had to pay for the heating separately: 20 euros for a couple of hours is off the market! Finally, the courtesy kit provided is really paltry: a bubble bath so small is not even enough for two showers! In short, the location sells itself, but as far as hospitality is concerned there is still a long way to go!

Quiet and spotless place. Reception by 10.canere clean and cozy great breakfast. Recommended if you are in the area must-see place to stay.
