in June and then again in August we came to escape the heat of Firenze and Bibbona. Both the pool and a/c were very welcome indeed. Staff could not have been nicer. The proximity to the ocean was terrific. Free parking in a crowded coastal town was good. Loved the breakfast. I think the rooms would have been better with a comfy chair.

I stayed at the Hotel Costa Verde. Excellent experience. They resolved a booking mix-up with kindness and professionalism. Competent and helpful staff. The room cleaning was thorough. The breakfast was varied and with remarkable fresh pastries, but with a good selection for celiac people as well. The proximity to the sea and the possibility of parking are further reasons to choose this Hotel. Absolutely recommended.

When you choose to stay in a 2 star hotel you expect a simple structure with even dated furnishings but absolutely expect cleanliness. In the bathroom especially!. On our arrival we found the fallow garden and the deteriorating pool area, arrived in the room (large room) the balcony WITH A BEAUTIFUL SEA VIEW dirty with dead flowers in the balconies. The worst was the shower tray with those black stripes 😬 (we washed with slippers on our feet) the taps and sanitary ware need a deep clean. We arrive at breakfast: of decent / excellent quality but everything takes a back seat when you find the tables dusty and occupied by dirty dishes of previous guests, DIRTY TABLEWARE!. THE PLATE OF MY CUP OF TEA HAD REMAINS FROM PREVIOUS BREAKFASTS. I'm sorry I couldn't leave these thoughts of mine when we checked out... but the Sunday morning reception was unmanned. We put the key in the box and left.
