Beautiful place to stay immersed in nature, kind and helpful staff, exquisite 'home made' breakfasts, absolutely a must-try

My partner and I stayed at this property for 2 nights at the beginning of September. We had an even better time than we could have imagined! Beautiful tents equipped with everything necessary, super comfortable beds, fabulous breakfast, very pleasant staff (Sayune and Maia were truly sweet, kind, and helpful). If you are looking for a nice place where you can relax and disconnect from everything and everyone, I recommend coming here; we will definitely return!!

If your goal is to ruin your entire vacation, you have found the perfect place. In all other cases: stay away and save yourselves. ​I was staying in the room on the lower floor, "Il Ciabattino," and the level of filth as soon as you cross the threshold is simply impressive, enough to give you the chills. A suffocating smell of mold attacks you immediately: every single time you leave, you carry that stale stench with you on your clothes and in your hair. There is dust layered everywhere, cobwebs hanging undisturbed, and the restrooms... well, it is better not to talk about those for the sake of decency, a real disaster. Even that minimum amount of open space that they pass off as an added value is dark and little more than a smelly, cramped, dilapidated, and unhealthy pigeon coop: forget about hanging even just a swimsuit or a towel there, because afterwards it would be literally impossible to wear them again given the stench they would absorb. ​As if that were not enough, the logistics are a total nightmare. The property is located in the historic center of Scarlino, wedged into an alley so narrow that a car cannot pass through it even by mistake. Finding parking is an extremely complicated undertaking, forcing you to trudge on foot with your suitcases, all accompanied by an almost total absence on the part of the management. Maybe the other property they manage is even better, but this one in Scarlino is absolutely to be avoided. ​It is not worth it, not even by mistake. Avoid this place in every possible way: it is a filthy trap from which to run away as fast as you can.
