this is the best hotel where I have ever been

We have had the most fabulous stay at Tenuta Torre Rossa. Everything about it has been perfect — the beautiful setting, the pool, the easy access to Florence and, above all, the wonderfully warm Tuscan welcome. One of the absolute highlights was the cooking lesson available on site, which can be booked through Eleanor. We spent a fantastic time learning to make several different types of pasta, including Gnudi, which we had never tasted before. It was great fun, wonderfully authentic and one of those experiences we will remember long after the holiday is over. We already love Tuscany, and Tenuta Torre Rossa has only made us love it more. Having visited at this time of year, we would probably choose October or November next time if our main aim was touring and sightseeing, particularly with the increasingly warm weather. For a holiday centred around relaxing by the pool, however, June, July and August would be absolutely glorious. Whatever time of year you choose to come, though, one thing is certain: you will receive the kind of warm, generous welcome that Tuscany does so wonderfully well. A genuinely lovely place, and one we will be very happy to return to.

The estate is perfect for visiting Florence and fully experiencing the Tuscan countryside. Surrounded by greenery, it is possible to work out and enjoy a glass of wine in peace by the pool. The barbecue was the best part of our vacation!
