Villa Cuiano

We had a wonderful time at 16 people in Villa Cuiano in Cortona, ideally located on the border of Tuscany and Umbria. The place is quiet and beautiful, allowing you to fully enjoy relaxing and cultural holidays. Our host, Franco, is incredibly kind and does everything for us to have a great time. He even cooked us a meal (delicious and ... very rich) whose flavors will remain etched long in our memories. We will definitely return.

I recently stayed at Villa Cuiano for with a group of seven women on an artist retreat. Around every corner of the property there were wonderful scenes to paint: old rose bushes climbing up stairs on a stone building, red tiled roofs out a window, the valley far below, poppies, olive trees, sheep etc. At night we slept in the fresh hillside air, with birds singing and frogs croaking but absolutely no traffic noise. My room was large and airy, with windows on two sides and an adjoining bath. The furniture was basic but comfortable in the bedrooms, and more elaborate in other rooms. No one in our group had thoughts about trying out the TV. Internet was sketchy in most rooms, but two rooms and an outdoor area had good connections. We ate most meals at the Villa, and they were delicious. Our host Franco and his wife pulled out all the stops with delicious meals.

I stayed with my tour group from May 30- June 7th 2018. As part of our tour, meals were included . Franco, the owner and his wife were wonderful hosts. The meals we had were so delicious. And each day we had something new. The location is high in the hills, quiet and so lovely. The entire property and rooms were very well maintained. I loved my visit here and would highly recommend this villa!
