Villa Serena

We were two couples who were just looking for a place to stay while we biked around Tuscany for a week in the middle of October 2016 and found this lovely villa just outside Cortona. It has three large bedrooms and two full bathrooms upstairs. Downstairs is a large kitchen, a medium sized dining room and two more areas to sit and relax. Everything was clean and well kept. The grounds were lovely. Terraced down from the villa to an orchard and below that a pool (closed because we were there after September 30 which the owners made clear). There was a terrace just outside the first floor where we had our morning coffee and cocktails in the evening. The view from the bedrooms and the terrace was wonderful, Cortona high to the right and the valley below and to the left. We wish there was a clothes dryer and better directions to the clothes washer. Other than that, everything was better than expected.

Stayed at villa serenella for a week, definetly going back some day! Absolutely breathtaking view to Val Di Chiena valley and a beautiful garden with a little swimmingpool. 1 kilometer from Cortona center, but going there by foot is hard work - uphill all the way ;) and coming back, don't do it after sunset, it's really dark there !
