The rooms face a super busy area; you can hear noise and voices in the street 24/7, it is impossible to sleep. The bathroom in the room is very basic, the shower stalls are ridiculous, water comes out on every side, and the faux marble porcelain stoneware bathroom tiles are hideous. To reach the rooms and the reception, you have to climb a steep, long staircase with your suitcases, and every time you return, the elevator only starts from the first floor. Reception staff not very accommodating. No common space other than a room used for breakfast. Price too high for the services offered and the quality of the furnishings. It was restored somehow, but let's draw a veil over how. There is much better in Florence.

The hotel is well situated for touring Florence. It is a short walk to the Duomo as well as the Uffizi. However, my wife and I were disappointed on a couple of levels. Our room itself was spacious, however, the bathroom needed an update; in fact, the shower was awful. The 2 glass doors that connected to the side walls swung open and were difficult to keep closed in order to keep water from leaking on to the floor of the bathroom. We were always mopping up puddles. Also, when we checked in, we were told that breakfast was an additional charge. No where was this otherwise indicated. We paid it since it was a necessity and we didn't have time to explore options. However, was a more than a bit distressing. Normally, breakfast is included in Italian hotels and when it is not, the fact is clearly indicated. Lastly, although we knew upfront that there was a set of steps that needed to be climbed to get to the ground floor of the hotel (no lift at the ground floor level), this was a bit inconvenient.
