My husband and I stayed here in June 2012 without too many issues. We mainly booked it for the buidling's charm and the good location for walking to/from the train and all the city sights. We literally walked everywhere from here. The first problem was that when we arrived, although we had given months notice of our train arrival time and all details, there was no one there to open the door for us. We waited and waited, rang the bell multiple times, all with no answer. After at least 30 minutes in the 90 degree weather and with multiple bags, we finally got in after following another woman from the building in. We didn't have cell phones with us and had made that very clear when booking, but were told that someone would absolutely be there. There were many flights of stairs to climb, but my husband carried all the bags on his own, lucky me. The place was decent enough, decorated, fine bathroom. Marco gave us a map and highlighted all the places we should see/go and the easiest ways to get everywhere, which was very nice. It was awfully hot at the end of June, so I had a very hard time sleeping with the windows open (no air blowing and street noise) and we were not given a fan. Other that that, it was fine for two nights and the location made up for some of the negatives. Probably wouldn't stay here again though. Looks like it is in worse shape than when we stayed there.

before I booked this hostel I was reading some reviews about it and I was hoping that the owners of this place took some kind of action considering the price per room/night and the things I've read, but now I wish I would've follow the advice : "stay away". For 75 euros per night(3 people), we got in a smelly building from a dodgy neighborhood, a room with a broken lock, used bed sheets, hair allover, poor assistance, nothing in common with hospitality business, so if you are planning to stay in Florence, don't make the same mistake we did, STAY AWAY from Andy Inn or you will feel sorry

A really BAD PLACE, the rooms are very dirty and old not managed at all. The worst place i had ever stayed. Very dirty kitchen. Breakfast is not included............ they provide the very dirty kitchen and you prepare your own. The fridge is not cleaned the food (from Previous guests) in it have fungus?? No Change of Linen and Towels till my 4 days of stay. Bathroom is dirty. DO NOT BOOK THIS.
