Barbara House - Guest House

The place falls way short of what it appears to be on the websites. With little ventilation it kind of smells. It is an unattended property where one needs to call in advance to arrange for the owner to give you the keys. All the basic amenities are there though along with some extra goodies with the coffee machine. But very average although close to the main train station as well as restaurants. Just about decent value for money although i wont strongly recommend it.

A very basic B and B, no air con not a comfortable bed. Very basic you get what you pay for. On a plus side the room was clean and the location is really good. The lady that owns it, I guess Barbara is really friendly although can not speck English

We had 2 separate rooms both at 40 euros each which seemed cheap for Florence. Perfectly adequate and very well located.n Biggest minus was the noise from the street below. Music and shouting through the night and then the constant wheeling of huge trollies to and fro from the nearby market early in the morning and evening. I was offered a much quieter room at the back with an en suite shower but decided to stick to the 40 euros after I was given a fan which I kept on all night and successfully blocked out the noise especially with the window closed. Did the job all round.
