We stayed 1 night in the quadruple room. Pros: Convenient location: close walk to train and sites, room was clean, cool and safe, 3 beds, front desk was very friendly, continental breakfast was helpful. Cons: It's rustic, some outside and noise from the floor above (not terribly disruptive but enough to mention), towels are odd- non absorbing and thin. Overall we were happy with our stay.

We had a wonderful time; the location is excellent for visiting Florence and close to an area full of great restaurants for the evening. The staff is very kind and helpful, and the rooms are clean and well-maintained. The venue is a historic place; clearly, one cannot expect all the comforts of a high-level modern hotel, but it has everything needed: air conditioning, sufficient size, and we spent very little time in the room, with a sufficient breakfast. Acceptable price for being in an excellent location in Florence; I think that on my next visit to Florence, I will return to Hotel Colodi.

Good location. For what I was paying I was shocked when the taxi driver said "you are in your hotel". It was a very old and narrow door. The office is pretty thigh. There is a small antique elevator like 24x24 and it only takes you to floor 1. They gave us the last room in the second floor and the lady said she didn't have any room in the bottom floor. I asked the person at the front desk what was in the building before a hotel and said that it was a monastery. There was not air in the bathrooms and the air in the room was not working. We had to open the window and be exposed to the across streets apartments and the noise from drunk people at the bar next door. There were mosquitos at night. I did not like it at all. This is a PENSIONE, not a hotel. The pictures used to advertise it are amazing, they are not realistic. Almost $300.00 per night??? I have no idea why people rate this place as high as they do. Not worth it!
