Demidoff Country Resort

We stayed in this hotel in summer 2022 after finding a good offer on booking and also booking access to the spa and gym at a higher price. Unfortunately, however, it was of no use as there was no one to control access to the swimming pool and gym and anyone could go there. Upon our arrival we were greeted at reception by two people who, with difficulties, including linguistic ones, gave us little information about our stay. Once we got to the room, in addition to noticing a whole series of dents and signs of wear in the furniture, we noticed the very low air temperature and the impossibility of regulating the air conditioning. At that point we go to reception and discover that the air can only be controlled from there. In addition to dented lamps, bad smell, and peeling railings there are many cleaning problems. Not only in the room (bathroom, stained sheets, etc.) also in the common areas and in particular in the indoor swimming pool (very dirty on the bottom and never seen anyone to clean it). The outdoor pool is a little better but almost impossible to swim in due to the many bees. The cuisine also leaves a lot to be desired with very low quality products. The staff totally absent. Many years ago it would certainly have been a great hotel and this is also demonstrated by the various rooms and common areas, now disused, dedicated to relaxation and business meetings. I saw the only people present at the reception. I tolerated all these problems without too many complaints because I stayed with several Ukrainians and I learned that the structure was used to temporarily host Ukrainian refugees without points of reference of relatives or acquaintances on the Tuscan territory and had previously been used as a structure for who had contracted covid-19. In short, no justification for offering such a service, but just a bit of understanding. I highly recommend intervening, if not already done, on the structure because it really has potential.

The most terrible hotel room I have ever seen. Dirty, bad smell and old broken furniture.. Can't recommend this until a full renovation! The rooms are designed with dirty carpet and not with the wood floor like in the pictures. The room door wasn't able to be looked - you can see it on the photos attached. We asked if we can move in a new room, like the one on the picture we booked - but unfortunately they said every room would look like this. Only a very few were renovated and they were already booked.. So we had to stay in this terrible room. Even the bed was dirty...

My gf, my dog and I booked a 4 night stay at Demidoff (we decided to stay 1 extra night because we really liked the place). Before booking here i noticed that the reviews were quite low, but i decided to book anyway and i'm glad i did it. Yes, there are things they should work on, but we enjoyed our stay starting from breakfast and ending with dinner. The staff is very polite and kind, the food is very nice, the prices are convenient (apart from the pool, 15 euro per person per day, but you can have it included in the room price if you book a superior room). After all i can rate my stay 9/10! There are few things that are a little annoying, but since the price is very convenient you easily close an eye on that. I think they know they should improve few things and that's the reason why the price for a 4 star resort with 2 pools, spa, gym, breakfast ... it's lower than average. If you are seeking a place with a stunning experience this is not the place for you (the place you are looking for will cost you double the price of this). Demidoff is a Country resort for people who are not looking for the highest standard on every little aspect and who know how to enjoy an holiday without getting stressed if something isn't always perfetto!
