Florence Apartments Central

First of all upon arrival, the apartment was not as pictured on any website. It was rundown and in need of refurbishment. The furniture has holes in it and is worn out. The blinds are broken. The walls need painting etc… We had asked to have some basic groceries stocked in the refrigerator and they weren’t there. They left us one scratchy worn out towel and one hand towel per person and there was nothing provided in the kitchen. The worst supplied kitchen I have ever experienced in a rental apartment and we have stayed all over the world. The terrace was not usable because it was filthy and the furniture that they had, was not set up. It looked nothing like the photos. The dingy entrance to the apartment had no light so you could not see a thing after 4pm. We stuck it out only because the location was where we wanted to be. This was the middle of a 7 week trip to 10 countries for my husband and myself and several stops down the road I received and email from Apartments Florence telling us that they were keeping half of our damage deposit, 150 euros, for a hole that they found in a pillow. Thank goodness I had taken photos of many of the things wrong with the apartment upon our arrival and sent those to the company and of course disputed the accusation that we had damaged anything. Obviously a scam since I have read other reviews that have made similar complaints. We will continue to rent properties when we travel just not ever from Apartment Florence again. TripAdvisor should not be recommending this company or any of its properties.

We stayed at Guelfo near pointe Vechhio. Apartment was fine, well equipped kitchen. Two days into the trip we went to use the shower in one of the bathrooms to find the shower head detached. Immediately sent a picture to Apartments Florence. Didn’t make a fuss as we had 2 other showers available. Person didn’t show up when we were leaving. Then had the audacity to say I was going to be billed for the shower head. It took several very unpleasant emails to resolve.. basically was called a liar!! I had also commented in my first (pleasant) email that the place needed a good clean (floor was filthy and probably hadn’t seen a good mop in a while) and under the beds hadn’t seen a brush in a long time. Otherwise was clean. I hope the property owner reads this and the owners at Apartments Florence .. I will happily share the rude, arrogant emails I received from this company.

The hotel canceled our booking 3 weeks before the trip, without warning. After the cancellation, we received a letter saying that the hotel was trying to contact us - but we did not receive incoming calls or letters. We have already built a route, but there are no longer any good and cheap hotels 🤦‍♀️🙁
