Golden Tower Hotel And Spa

We booked 2 rooms at the Golden Tower for our family vacation July 25-28, 2026. We received a very warm welcome upon arrival by Amanda and a sweet man whose name I've forgotten (Scusi!). Our room wasn't ready yet but the hotel was happy to store our bags while we set out to explore. The hotel is in a great location! About a 5 minute walk to the Piazza della Repubblica and about 10 minutes to the Duomo. It is right in the heart of luxury shopping if that's your thing.....just a few steps to Louis Vuitton. When we got back at 3:00 pm our rooms were ready and bags had already been delivered. The gentleman at the front desk escorted us to our rooms to make sure they were to our liking. They were charming, elegant, very European and clean. My husband and I had a room with a queen bed that was a bit lacking for storage space. Only a small nightstand with drawers and a wardrobe with far fewer hangers than the 2 of us needed. I probably could have asked for more. I had to leave my suitcase open and in the way of the door during our stay. I also haven't traveled to Europe in 30 years so I don't have much experience if this to be expected. The room did not come with an iron (something about fire code) but they did offer a laundry service for a fee (in by 9:00 am/back by 8:30 pm). There was a hairdryer but it was heavy and you have to hold the button the entire time you're using it. I thought perhaps ours was broken but it was the same in our daughters' room. The bathroom had 2 sinks and a shower/tub - but only offered a single bar of soap that moved from sink to sink to shower. They also did not provide washcloths (only hand towels and bath towels). We sat in the lobby for a bit one night and had a lovely chat with the bartender from Bangladesh. They provide a beautiful apertivo spread. We took advantage of the breakfast each morning and there was plenty to choose from and everything looked delicious and the dining room staff were all lovely. We had a wonderful stay at the Golden Tower Hotel and would highly recommend!

Superb hotel right in the center of Florence, excellent welcome and great services Spa reservation for 1 hour, great at the end of a long day

My daughter and I were looking for a centrally located hotel with good air conditioning and water pressure in the shower. We got that and more! The staff was extremely friendly, and let us check in an hour before the official time. The included breakfast had plenty of selection including made to order eggs. The decor was gold, which may not be to everyone’s taste but hey, it’s in the name of the hotel so there are no surprises. There were no irons provided, and they mentioned upfront that it had to do with regulations or safety or some such thing. But since we were on holiday, we didn’t really need it anyway. They did provide robes and slippers, and hair conditioner (not usual in all European hotels). We did not use the spa, so cannot speak to that. We explored Florence in the morning each day, came back to rest in the hotel to avoid the heat in the afternoons, and went back out again in the evening. It was about a 15m walk to and from the train station…pretty manageable with carry on bags. We’d happily stay here again in the future!
