FH55 Grand Hotel Mediterraneo. The location is excellent. The hotel, reception, and service are all excellent. The room is nice. The underground parking is good. The breakfast is excellent. We were disappointed that we were asked to decline the Tuscan tasting dinner - 44 euros per person. It was listed as an extra when booking, but it wasn't available. The hotel itself is very good.

Good evening, we have just returned from the Grand Hotel FH55 in Florence... Regarding the food, nothing to say, regarding the friendliness, neither, but regarding the cleaning of the rooms, I would have something to say; you cannot return for 2 days in a row at 3:00 PM and not find the room made... The first day we waited for them to do it, but the second day my wife and I returned from the center of Florence with 105.8 degrees, we were soaked in sweat, and the room still hadn't been done; we just had them give us clean towels to take a shower... all of this was said at the reception when we left... regards c.b

I stayed at the Grand Hotel Mediterraneo in Florence for only one night, a property that has its location as one of its strengths: the historic center is easily reachable with a pleasant walk along the Arno. The room was small, but functional, although what left me puzzled was maintenance that was not always up to the standard of a hotel of this category. I found a peanut forgotten behind the door, traces of rust on the towel warmer, the elevator glass was rather worn by time, and some Schuko outlets, like the remote control, had an obvious accumulation of dust. These are details that, taken individually, may seem negligible, but together they give the impression of less than impeccable care. The bathroom is essential, with a rather minimalist layout, without any particular elements that make it stand out. The decidedly positive note is the breakfast. The selection is wide and varied, but what I appreciated most were the fruit and vegetable juices prepared on the spot. An added value is also the presence of staff who prepare espresso and cappuccino at the bar, offering a decidedly better alternative to the classic automatic machines. Overall, it is a good solution for visiting Florence thanks to its strategic location, but with a little more attention to maintenance and details, it could offer a decidedly more convincing experience. It is also true that one wing of the hotel is undergoing external maintenance. What are we taking home with us, Roberta?
