Hotel Balestri

A truly unique experience here for happy hour! I am a tour guide and I know that the property is optimal; the rooms are beautiful and elegant; I was there with friends in March. If you are looking for a place capable of surprising you, this is the right spot. The cocktails are sophisticated, original, and inspired by the four elements: a true sensory experience. We tasted an Americano and a Negroni that were slightly revisited. The staff explained to us that the vermouth had a delicate note of dried fig and, once discovered, it was wonderful to recognize it on the palate. A detail that struck us a lot was the large carved ice cube (probably with the owner's face): besides being spectacular, it keeps the cocktail cold without watering it down. A real touch of class. The atmosphere is intimate, elegant, and lit by candlelight, perfect both for a romantic evening and for spending a pleasant evening with friends. I absolutely recommend the "you decide" option: it is enough to communicate any intolerances or preferences and the staff proposes a selection of creative, well-curated, and truly delicious tastings. The cuisine is also on par with the cocktail selection. We enjoyed the ceviche, the risotto, and the burger, as well as the meat and fish main courses, all prepared with quality ingredients and balanced portions, which satisfy without falling into the excesses of gourmet cuisine. Environment well-cared for in every detail, staff prepared, attentive, and always kind. A place you return to with pleasure, because every detail is designed to provide a special experience. Next time we will definitely leave room for dessert... this time we were already completely full! Highly recommended.

We stayed 2 nights at the Balestri hotel. The location was perfect, easy walking distance to all of the main sites. The hotel itself was nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. We booked a balcony room thinking it would be looking over the river, but when we arrived the balcony had a view from the other side of the hotel. We asked to move to a river view room, and this was quickly accommodated. The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel has no restaurant, but does serve breakfast, which was great - excellent choice and great service. The bar was nice and we sat outside for drinks, the bar staff were great too. It was a shame that we could not get a coffee from the hotel unless the bar was open - 6pm onwards. As this is the case, it would be great if a coffee machine was provided in the rooms rather than cheap instant coffee sachets and a kettle. We would recommend despite this.

Beautiful hotel. Very helpful staff with recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. Absolutely spotlessly clean . Again bar extremely expensive, which lets the hotel down. The breakfast is amazing and the staff lovely!
