Good location, bad security. Before checking out, we ate breakfast at the hotel. While we ate, someone had emptied my little travel jewelry box. Everything gone! Hotel manager doesn’t believe us! I told him to check security cameras, but he said they don’t work as they are just a deterrent! Very sad since that creates a false sense of security for the guests.

Location is very convenient to the train station, with the Central Market a 3 minute stroll away. We stayed here twice in May 2026, meaning we had to change rooms when checking back in. Both rooms were clean and updated. It was nice to have a cocktail at night on the roof, laid back with a great view of the Duomo. I would like to commend the staff, both the front desk staff and the woman who runs the breakfast area. Twice we asked the night front desk, I think his name is Euegenio, for a restaurant recommendation and he delivered on both times. Not a large hotel, but that work's for me. I would recommend Hotel Cantoria and stay here a 3rd time.

This hotel is an easy walk from the train station and to all of Florence’s attractions. The gentleman who checked us in was very helpful. He gave us a map which simplified our walking route to all of the local points of interest. The hotel appears newly renovated. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. The top floor of the hotel leads to a roof deck with an amazing view of Florence and the Duomo. The hotel provides a buffet breakfast as well. The hotel is on a very busy street but all of Florence is busy! I would stay there again.
