Hotel Genzianella

The positive point of the place are the location and wifi. For the rest we were received well but we found faults, the bathroom very small and without windows, the toilet seat was not cleaned well, the fridge empty, there is no real closet, the room is freezing, without a real heating system, to heat we had to turn on the air conditioning for several hours before reaching a proper temperature and my friend found a stain on the bedspread of dubious organic origin. Not to mention that to get there you have to enter an old building, badly run down with an uncomfortable elevator where it was uncomfortable enters 2 with only one bag.

On the presentation: Two star hotel with breakfast included which is nothing more than a guest house without breakfast. Totally disproportionate value for money. Decent room but nauseating smell from the internal courtyard. Tiny elevator sometimes not working. The only positive thing is the location.

We stayed here for 3 nights, it's not amazing but does the job for a short stay. The photos don't really look similar, we were disappointed, the hotel is on the 4th floor of a building, the elevator works every other time and does not accommodate more than two people. The hotel looks like a corridor with a series of rooms, room 20 is in front of the door, you can hear everything that happens inside when you enter. A lot of things are wrong: the shutters are broken, the air conditioning doesn't work, the sound insulation is non-existent (we could hear everything in the hotel and vice versa) and the hosts speak neither English nor Spanish nor French. In addition, we found the place very expensive for what it was, we only slept and washed there, I'm not even sure that the duvet was clean, we slept without it. The room smelled clean when we arrived, but the underside of the bed was full of dust, for a two star hotel I expected better. The positive points of the hotel are that it is close to the center, the rooms are spacious and there was a mini fridge, very practical! the managers are very friendly even if we didn't speak the same language, always smiling! there is a lovely view of the city, we had the sunset in the evening, magnificent. For a short stay I recommend, but no more than three nights, look for an Airbnb instead.
