Hotel Medici

Outstanding location. Incredible views from roof bar. Reception staff helpful. NO AIR CON - worst night sleep ever despite obtaining an additional fan. Towels were thinner than table clothes. Cheap but there has to be better places to stay.

To avoid!!! Hotel located in the city center but with staff that does not do their job: located in a ZTL zone, despite our request, they did not provide our license plate to the local police. And even though our car was in a garage upon our arrival, we received two tickets, one of which was issued while our vehicle was in the garage!!! We never received the first ticket; I called the hotel during the follow-up, and nothing was done!!! This is a blatant scam and theft! It seems they are colluding.

Large bedroom with double and two single beds. Clean linen and good pillows. Open wardrobe with a few hangers and drawers underneath. No mirror in bedroom and not all plug sockets worked. Good shower when there was hot water. Towels changed everyday, they are very thin. Lovely rooftop bar overlooking the Duomo. Our room was on the first floor which made it extremely noisy not only from the traffic but one morning around 4am the drains were being pumped and the noise and smell was absolutely terrible. Other hotel users seemed to enjoy slamming doors. Reception staff extremely helpful. Would not stay again due to noise.
