We had a wonderful family stay (2 adults and 2 children) in an exceptional establishment in Florence. The location is simply perfect: in the heart of the city, everything is within walking distance, ideal for exploring the wonders of Florence and an incredible view of Palazzo Vecchio. The setting is typical of Florentine style, with an elegant, spacious and well decorated room. We found the staff very welcoming and always smiling, which greatly contributed to the success of our stay. We leave delighted and warmly recommend this property to all families wishing to discover Florence in the best conditions.

This review as the title is strange because the first was made at 5 am and then I did another after breakfast but I think it's right to propose both: 1) The staff was very kind, the room clean and cared for, and the breakfast proposed and 'with sweet and savory options. The location is unique: waking up in Piazza della Signoria is an unforgettable experience. 2) We stayed at B&B La Casa del Garbo, appreciating the unique location in Piazza della Signoria and the cleanliness of the rooms. However, our stay was not entirely satisfactory. At breakfast, the staff reported that they had not been informed about the gluten free dietary needs reported well in advance both during the booking process and with a subsequent phone call. This has disappointed us, considering the importance given to this aspect. In addition, we would suggest some maintenance interventions, such as the bidet to be reviewed and the sink tap not fixed correctly. Too bad, because the potential is great.

It felt like being back in the time of the Renaissance when we opened the door of the hotel; no elevator but narrow dimly lit stairs. Our room was on the third floor with windows that opened to the piazza below. We enjoyed morning coffee while watching people crossing the square and disappearing into the winding streets between these historical buildings that date back to the 14th century. This is the hotel if you’re looking for a truly Renaissance experience.
