La Residenza del Proconsolo

We could not have wished for more for our winter weekend in Florence. Enviable location, spacious room, warm and quiet. Great bed. Cleanliness flawless. Thanks to the kind and caring Laura who welcomed us.

Can you give more than 5 stars for location? As other's photos show, this is just outside of the Duomo and within walking distance of tons of stores and sites. The people at the hotel were very nice and accommodating. The prices are so reasonable, we purchased the "deluxe" option, which came with a large room and bath and tickets for breakfast at a terrific cafe two doors down.

5 stars because: central location a few meters from Santa Maria in Fiore (Duomo), 15 minutes walk from the train station. Room "Michelangelo" huge with a view from the windows on Brunelleschi's dome, giant Latvian and quality as the furniture, minimal but nice. Perfect cleanliness, large and immaculate bathroom, clean and tidy room with relaxation corner with coffee maker, tea maker and fridge with 2 bottles of water, TV, wifi, heating and air conditioning. Breakfast included at the bar below with hot drink + croissants + juice + sandwich. Pesonal young and courteous, kind and helpful. Recommended!
