Le Seggiole

Our stay at Le Seggiole was fantastic. The B&B is not terribly hard to find, about 30min from Firenze SMN after passing the Duomo, if you don't get turned around on the Florentine streets (We did). It's on a reasonably out of the way street so there's some foot traffic at night but nothing abnormal for being near the centre of the city. The rooms are up 4 flights of stairs so if you're not prepared to carry your luggage you're in trouble. We made it up fine with a 20kg case and 2 10kg carry-on sizes. The rooms and common area are well kept and very clean with ensuite bathrooms that are not overly large but do the trick. There isn't A/C but the rooms do have fans and even on 30+ degree days we were fine. Claudia, the host at Le Seggiole, is amazing. She not only helped us map out the sights and gave some suggestions for eating since my wife is vegetarian but when we had an issue with our room she went above and beyond to correct it, including giving us a special gift to celebrate our honeymoon. I highly recommend Le Seggiole, great value, great location, great service.

The Big PLUS about this place was that it really was very centrally located!! In the Heart of all the main attractions! The Florence Cathedral was literally around the corner! And all other attractions were very close by. The Termini was also walking distance where you can catch the bus or train virtually anywhere. On the down side, it was very noisy. There was a night club downstairs so music was very noisy at night. The room was VERY basic but it was ok. Ohhh the breakfast was so disappointing. You get a coupon to take to a coffee shop at the corner. With that you could only get one pastry croissant or I think a muffin and a cup of hot drink. But for the amount of money you pay, you get a great location though!

This was the 3rd time that I have stayed at Le Seggiole, I would highly recommend this very clean and comfortable bed and Breakfast to anyone wanting to stay in central Florence,it is very close to all the main sites of interest! It is always a pleasure to stay there, Claudia is extremely helpful and friendly, a perfect host! I look forward to next time I visit!!
