Maxim Firenze Hotel

As in all of Florence, many hotels are in old buildings. This is one of them. It is surprising that the hotel is located only on the third floor and the entrance seems more like that of a boarding house than that of a hotel, with plastic and paper flowers. Paintings and ornate decoration. In the end, the feeling was different... very friendly staff, room 322 perfectly equipped, clean with a good bed and air conditioning. Breakfast is basic but acceptable. Excellent place to spend a few days in Florence.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and we enjoyed it. The place is clean, staff are friendly, great location and they have great breakfast buffet although we only ate there once since we have to leave very early for our excursions. Our room was located on the first floor and it was spacious…though one window doesnt close properly. And before leaving the hotel, my daughter placed a postcard to be mailed to our home in a mailbox located by the door entrance of the first floor rooms..but until now we haven’t received that postcard. I guess it’s a fake mailbox and my daughter is so upset :(. But overall we like this hotel!

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Maxim Axial. It offers a great mix of historic Florentine charm and modern amenities. Our room was comfortable, with two comfortable twin beds for our kids and a large bed for the parents. The bathroom looked newly renovated, and the shower had excellent water pressure—a welcome treat after long days of sightseeing. The air conditioning worked great, which was especially appreciated during the summer heat. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the luggage storage made it easy to enjoy Florence before check-in and after check-out. The location couldn’t have been better, serving as the perfect home base for exploring Florence’s major sights and shopping. We would happily stay here again!
