The reception staff does not speak English at all. All rooms are different in this hotel, be careful when you book, you do not know which room will be allocated to you. The room we had was really poor. Everything is old and damaged. The uncomfortable bed, old mattress, old pillows and blanket that scratches. The safe didn't work. To top it off, my purse was stolen in Florence with the hotel keys in it. In the evening after 8pm no one is at the reception to open us. No one answered the phone. We had to take a night in a hotel somewhere else to come back in the morning. When we return in the morning, the hotel charges us 90 Euros for the loss of the keys in the stolen purse!

We wanted to spend a weekend in Florence between museums, Florentines and alcohol without -possibly- spending an eye of the head staying in the center and a minimum of breakfast. Well, choice centered in full! 10 minutes and you are in the station on foot, 10 and you are in the Duomo (you see it passing), great sweet and savory breakfast and welcome from the super staff, clubs and restaurants everywhere..I recommend 100%!large room with two rooms, 2 doubles (one classic bed the other sofa) and huge bathroom with separate bath and shower complete our experience.

Me and my wife spend our honeymoon here (4 nights) The location is fantastic, the room with its high selling,painting on the wall and a very nice balcony is very original for the time period, the staff at the reception were friendly and helpful and for that reason it is worth stay on this residenza. Now the down side and the most negative of all is the man who prepares the breakfast! So unfriendly (against all the guests you can see that he really hates his jobb) and it is not what you want to encounter first thing in the morning. The breakfast it self is also the minimum of the minimum basically it is roastbread, cheese and ham and thats it!). After 2 days we decided to take our breakfast somewhere else (despite that we hade payed for the breakfast already)
