Fantastic location and history. Beautiful entrance at Piazza della Signoria. Very secure, the lift made the route up to the top floor and the overall stay very comfortable. The studio was spacious and quaint with an unusual decor in the kitchen area. Very historical.

I will try to make my feedback as objective as possible. I worked in the hospitality sector and have one or two things to say…. - first of all, after the booking, I received (not kidding) TEN emails and FOUR WhatsApp messages before the check in. talk about trying to relax during the holidays….I was already stressed by the amount of stuff they bombarded me with even before I arrived! the whole point of using booking.com is to keep it simple, but once the booking was done I still had to got though their own booking procedure. - paying the price for a high end hotel, but not having any of the privileges. no check in counter. no one to receive you or help you after a long day of travelling. they expect you to make an appointment for check in. as if people could anticipate the exact arrival time travelling by car o public trains subject to delays!! again, so stressful. not to mention we had to wait outside standing in the scorching sun because there is no lobby. - now the real stuff begins: our room was NOTHING like what we had booked online. the pictures where completely different, and the description was ridiculously wrong (see pictures attached). the description said there was ample living room space (there was no living room space, it was just big as a single hotel room). a couch was also mentioned, there was none. in fact, there would not have been space for it even it they wanted to put it. - the third bed was literally a camping bed (see photos) - the toilet was as big as a closet - this was the size of a small hotel room, maybe for one person or for a very close couple! - when we got there, we brought up this issue. we kindly asked to be refunded. because we wanted to leave. they denied that mismatch between what I booked and say they would give us no discount. - again, that same moments I tried to focus on a solution, offered to stay one night and leave the next day so that they would have time to book it for someone else. they said no. they kept denying the problem and were not even offering any solution. - eventually we ended us staying. the next day, at 12 pm, they send us a message saying we are not welcome and we FORCING US to do a check out at 14 hrs. of course it was the middle of the day and there is no way we could look for a place, go back, pack our bags and leave in that window of timel. by then, we had already plans for all the other days And we’re stuck, against our will, in that horrible place. - at that point I asked for a discount given all the above inconvenience. - the owner sends us an email saying they offered us to leave asap (which is a lie), that she is offended (she is offended?!), we accused her of ‘fraud’ and saying she won’t give us any reimbursement. we had never accused her of fraud (we had accused her of false marketing), and at that point we were not asking for a reimbursement , just a discount. But also their English was poor so they did not understand us and kept accusing us of false things…. - they threatened to call the police because we had not given them our documents, when in reality they were so nervous about the situation they had forgotten to ask them. - the owner and helper (Cecilia) where rude, threatening, unwelcoming, focused only on issues instead of just trying to find a solution or have a kind gesture, and just simply blatantly lied about the situation and did not respond my questions about the specific points (no couch, etc) even though I insisted. - getting to know the city better, I understood that you are much better off just staying a little further away. the places you can get further away are much nicer, brighter, cleaner and cheaper. Me and friends are from Canada and have travelled the world (literally) and never encountered such rude people and bad customer service. we were so excited about Florence but they managed to steal all the beauty and simply stressed us out during the whole trip. I cannot recommend this place under no circumstance. Happy to provide evidence of this, if anyone is curious and wants to check.

Terrible! Worst room ever! AC does not work, room never got below 85 degrees downstairs and was over 90 degrees in the loft. They know it is hot and have a fan but the fan was broken. Room is horribly small and cramped. Beds are small, hard and uncomfortable. Sleep was impossible. I want my money back! We were robbed!
