Residenza Betta - Guest House

Not clean, not maintained, no service at all only in the morning, noisy, this is a hostel and not a hotel. A few rooms only. The air conditioner barely works and the breakfast is poor. The price is very high in relation to the value

Stayed here for 2 nights. Booked a triple room, which consisted of a double bed and a single. Hotel is run by 2 sisters as you may have gathered from other reviews, Liliana and Donatella. Good communication prior booking. We got to the hotel after check in time, so I was given a code to enter the hotel as the reception closes at 1pm. Hotel security is good because you have to use 2 keys to open two doors before you get to the hotel itself. The hotel/b&b is located on the second floor of this building. Once we got through both doors using a personal code. There was a envelope with my name on it, waiting on the reception desk with my room number and also some instructions. The room itself was a good size for three people, it was clean and It felt spacious and the bonus was a balcony which we thought was great to soak up the sunshine. There was ample storage space with two bedside tables and a decent size wardrobe. The bathroom was a generous size, well stocked with towels and toiletries. The room came equipped with a TV, fridge, kettle and a variety of different teas. We checked in the next morning with Liliana who is lovely. Breakfast was very nice, consisting of cold meats, cheeses, cakes, fruit, pastries and many more things. The location of this hotel is central walking distance to everything and public transport, frequent with buses and trams in constant service. The train station was only a 17 min walk from the hotel. Although some of the paths were very tight especially when lugging around suitcases, overall it wasn’t that bad. There were many restaurants, supermarkets and markets around. Very easy to get to the Duomo and the central market by walking. Only negative was we asked if we could have a late check in because we had a train to catch later on. However Donatella thought we were checking out the day after and then changed her answer to no, and told us we have other guest coming. However we were still able to leave our bags at the hotel, that was good. We came to collect our luggage and asked if we could use the toilets and were told no, very rude. Especially when we could see that at-least 2 of the rooms were empty and Donatella was cleaning 1, they could of allowed us to quickly use the one they were cleaning. But oh well, never mind. Overall not bad place to stay. In a very good location. Breakfast was nice. Balcony was bliss, soaking up the Italian sun.

Spend a little more money and stay else where. The person for the front desk is rude and inconvenient. We had to catch a train on our way out and we were stopped to ask for our passport. Why could she just knock on the door and ask in the morning? I walked out of the room a couple of times while she was there and she didn’t ask once. I called and asked why the heat didn’t work bc the room was really cold when we arrived. I was then told they didn’t turn it on till 16:30. WTF? We paid for the room why can’t we control the temperature? Also the WiFi is terrible. Most of us either couldn’t connect or when it did nothing would load. In half our room we couldn’t even find the signal at all.
