Rivoli

The hotel is walking distance from the train station. It is a bit of a distance from the Uffizi and the Academia, but strolling through the streets of Florence is worth it. They have a small pool which is really a jacuzzi that is heated by the sun. There is a small courtyard in the back. The breakfast had the best variety and a quick and friendly wait staff. The real gem here are the front desk team. They took time to answer every question, provided a map with directions and made restaurant reservations for us. While our room was small and had no view, it was clean and well kept. The show lights are wild.

The Rivoli is our favorite hotel. My husband and I have been coming for years and we are always greeted and treated like family. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and spotless. The breakfast in the morning is wonderful. I love having breakfast outside in the garden. The bar is so beautiful and the bartenders are so warm and friendly. I love having a cocktail before dinner in the beautiful bar area. The Rivoli is within walking distance to everything. The staff is always so helpful and so warm, happy and friendly. We would not stay anywhere else

We were there for four nights. The experience can be summed up by one experience - instant coffee at breakfast! The buffet breakfast was the worse of any we had in travels in Italy. Service was cold at the front desk. Pillows were terrible and bed uncomfortable. Definitely over priced.
