Soggiorno Fortezza Fiorentina

I am quite surprised by the local rating and ranking of the best hotels in Florence. Well, it's not the Hilton, but if you're not into polished diamond chandeliers and marble walls, and you're all about sleeping, this is a perfect choice. Mainly, it was one of the few hotels that looked exactly like the photos and I didn't have any unpleasant surprises. Less than ten minutes walk from the train station, so the location is great, you are in the center within twenty minutes on foot. Bed big, comfortable, wifi worked great, everywhere cleaned, clean towels, fridge and things to make coffee in the room plus some sweets. It was also completely quiet at night. Perhaps the only thing I would criticize is the toilet with the bathroom outside the room. It is quite small in itself, it is a smaller shower, but if you do not suffer from luxury, considering the price, it is quite adequate. The owner was nice and pleasant, he explained everything. I only stayed here for one night and was extremely satisfied and would not hesitate to stay here again even if I had to stay longer.

Hostess was very polite and showed us great spots to eat in walking distance from the “B&B”. Great location but no breakfast was provided and limited amenities to use to make anything for breakfast. The fridge light in our room work but it did not keep anything cold. Found it difficult to sleep due to it being close to the railway and main road. Overall average stay, would recommend it for its location but that’s about it.

After arriving in Florence it was a 5-10 minute walk to the B&B. At arrival the hostess helped us in great english and within 5 minutes she pointed out how to get everywhere, nice restaurants and the best tip to walk everywhere. She is great and helpfull! Florence might seem big but for us all was walkable, especially from the b&b. The place is very clean & our room was tidied up every day. People say stuff about the noise wich is true but we didnt really had a problem with it. Bed laid very nice. Also remember there are shared bathrooms (also super clean) and with only 4 rooms... it doesnt feel like sharing at all. Oooo and we had fridge in our room!! Would definately recommend this place.
