Tourist House Liberty

A nightmare called making a reservation at the Booking for Soggiorno Campos, be charged in double (by the card provided at the time of booking by Soggiorno Campos and again at check-in by Tourist House Liberty). I've been trying to get the money back for 2 weeks but since the property appears on Booking as Soggiorno Campos and charged me the second charge through Tourist House Liberty, I can't get my money back! Do not recommend! What was to be just one night in Florence became a check-in stress and a continued stress after the trip!!

If you only need a bed to sleep in and don't want to spend your inheritance for a few nights in a hotel in Florence, I recommend this cheap and very well located pension. It is on the first floor (no elevator) of an old Florentine building. Travelling alone I had booked a room for a person knowing in advance that he did not have an en-suite bathroom. This was no problem as the shared bathroom is only shared with one other bedroom. This bathroom needs a youthful boost but it works. Bring your soap. My room, n°9, must be one of the only ones not yet renovated in this boarding house: it was not too hot at night at the beginning of June so no air conditioning is needed (in this room there is no air conditioning, there is just a fan) but need to leave the window open but the noise of the air conditioning systems in the other rooms of the building was disturbing. On the other hand he regained absolute calm at night in the boarding house. Cleanliness in the room: clearly the sweep was not under the bed because I found used kleenex and night mask. Sleeping: comfortable bed to my taste.

I booked this hotel via the Qantas website. Did not research prior to booking. I stayed for 2 nights during the 3rd heat wave. Assess to the building is a little confusing. 2 flights of stairs with no lift access. You need to pay hotel tax in cash on arrive- a common thing in Italy during my trip. I found the hotel slightly outdated but it is clean and safe. My AC was working very well and I had no concerns as a female traveller. The wifi was also working well. Hotel is a 5 min walk to many tourist attractions which is very convenient. I did not need to take public transport during my 3 day visit as most tourist attractions are centrally located.
