It's a shame about the ruined ceremony, slow and confusing service, 4 and a half hours for 3 courses and an appetizer without bread and water, poor quality food.

Beautiful place, with service that was quite rushed. Aperitif with prosecco, taralli, and small pizzas, in short. Classic Tuscan appetizer was mediocre, the meat grill was abundant (the steak and the rosticciana were good, the sausages were burnt, I admit I did not try the chicken). Oven-baked potatoes as a side were not bad, as was the tiramisu. The red wine (undefined) served cold was not acceptable, it simply does not exist. In conclusion, generous portions, but the quality I really could not say. Not worth the trip to Impruneta.

It seems that a few days ago the management of Villa Cesi changed, especially the cook in the kitchen changed. I went on April 30th to a friend’s birthday, a room with an adjoining loggia had been reserved, very nice but at the time of serving dinner everything collapsed, except only sealed bottled cream water and cold cuts. Appetizers consisting of various cold cuts, a piece of cheese continued with two cuddles served with whipped cream passed off as stracchino, fried vegetables, pizzas and savory pies that were probably frozen, all heated and cooled immediately. The risotto with gorgonzola walnuts and red radicchio shouted a little flavor. Not even the trace of Gorgonzola , the radicchio had been scattered over raw, not incorporated into the cooking. Pappardelle of very poor quality (tasted rancid) with the sauce that should have been wild boar, actually seemed to be canned. Finally Marengo with strawberries and raspberries (but not by any means, the fruits were not found), a brown meringue that I do not know what it was and the cream cloying and too sticky. Nauseating!!! The sparkling Prosecco cheap and the same used as an aperitif and for the toast. We all felt fooled, this food was bad and of very poor quality, surely the new management worked to save for a great gross. The dinner cost 45 euros per person. Gentlemen new managers, you missed an opportunity , I do not know the other guests, but as far as I am concerned you will not see me again, that is for sure!
