La Fonte del Cieco

We stayed at this hotel as a couple with our daughter and her friend: we had a great time. The location is perfect, a stone's throw from the Cascatelle with a convenient private path. The staff is friendly and helpful, always ready to help. Hearty breakfast with homemade products, great to start the day. The rooms, in rustic Tuscan style, are clean and comfortable. Excellent Price quality ratio: authentic relaxation for the whole family.

Organised a four week trip for five people around France and Italy. All the pieces coming together....that is until the owners at La Fonte del Cieco decide to 'pull the rug out' and cancel my booking. Of course as you get closer to July / August, available accommodation becomes scarce and the price goes up. How dare they do this? Vote with your feet travellers - boycott this place and teach the owners that they have NO business without happy customers.

A lovely hotel with great character, it has retained many original features, such as stone staircases, high ceilings, etc. Our room was clean, well maintained, with a large bed and modern bathroom. We booked the room with the balcony, from where we had a great view over the main square and the town. The young lady at reception was very friendly and helpful. She even arrived half an hour early on the morning of our departure, especially for us, so that we could have breakfast even though we had to leave for the airport before the normal breakfast hours. We'd stay again.
