Agriturismo Montebelli

my husband and I stayed there from 09/03/26 to 09/05/26 We had a Smartbox received as a gift and while looking at the various facilities I saw this one, and if it had already excited me on paper, having been there confirmed all my expectations, and even more so, because courtesy and availability are not always taken for granted.... By phone and email, Sara was our point of reference: she was kindly attentive to all our needs and it was a real pleasure to have met her on the last day. Upon our arrival, we found Linda who immediately explained the schedules, the functionality of the spa, and accompanied us, as well as the layout of the rooms, this because the property has one part above the restaurant (which we found very convenient) and others in the Spa area The Spa is very functional: a large pool, sauna, Turkish bath, and herbal tea accompanied our two hours of entry. Returning to the rooms.... Very spacious room as well as the bathroom Everything well-maintained ...the ceiling fans cooled the air very well ... You are in relaxation mode and I would say that in an agritourism it is par excellence, therefore we did not regret the lack of a TV at all For meals, we had breakfast included, but since there is a restaurant, we were still able to have dinner and lunch by ordering à la carte; here we were welcomed by Martina, Liliana, and Laura who advised us very well: noting that everything you eat is made by them, starting from the cakes and desserts for breakfast to the homemade pasta... Everything is enhanced by oil and wines that are also produced by them, which you can purchase if you wish... The intercontinental breakfast is buffet-style, while dinner is served: the tables are outdoors and the atmosphere is truly delightful, especially in the evening with all those little lights framing it. Pets are allowed... The farmhouse is surrounded by greenery and encircled by vineyards and olive groves bordered by paths that can be traveled for a beautiful walk, which we took... An outdoor pool is also available: even though we had already checked out of our room, we were still able to use it. We truly thank everyone, and especially those I mentioned... Highly recommended...and I have already done so 🙂 Paola and Stefano

The place is very, very beautiful, but unfortunately it is poorly maintained. We were there the second weekend of July; we had a triple room and a quadruple room in the farmhouse. The place also has a hotel. From the photos, the farmhouse is beautiful; although it was clean, we found some shortcomings that made our experience negative. The rooms do not have Wi-Fi (the phone barely gets a signal anywhere there), nor is there air conditioning; this effectively made our overnight stay hellish, with a room that felt exactly like an oven, and not even the old, very noisy ceiling fan provided relief; in fact, it contributed to us not resting well. The bathroom toilet had a copious water leak, as if the chain were permanently pulled. This should be enough to explain my bad review. Unfortunately, however, the negatives do not end here; the aforementioned rooms are in front of the restaurant, a restaurant that offers a very, very poor breakfast not suitable for a 4-star hotel. We participated in a dinner under the stars, a very good but very slow dinner that started an hour late and ended well past 11:00 PM with very loud music that we had to ask to be turned down because we could not talk. The music continued until 12:40 AM when my husband, not very politely, asked for it to be turned off. The evening ended more than an hour later at 1:48 AM when silence finally fell.

Unfortunately, our experience did not live up to expectations. At the time of booking, the distinction between the hotel rooms and those of the farmhouse is not sufficiently clear, and we ended up staying in the latter. The farmhouse rooms are dated, albeit clean, and above all lacking air conditioning. With high temperatures, the heat becomes truly difficult to bear. The ceiling fans installed in the room, besides not being particularly effective, are rather noisy and make resting uncomfortable. We also participated in the dinner with music under the stars. Unfortunately, the service turned out to be very slow and the dinner dragged on for several hours. Considering that the restaurant is located right in front of the farmhouse rooms, the music until one in the morning made it impossible to rest. A situation that we consider absolutely unacceptable for those staying at the property. The breakfast did not satisfy us either, both in terms of variety and quality of the offering. An additional problem is represented by the almost total absence of connection: the Wi-Fi is practically nonexistent and even the phone coverage is very poor. In the rooms, you find yourself completely isolated. Overall, the price paid was definitely too high compared to the quality of the property and the experience had. We do not believe that the price-quality ratio is adequate.
