On 07/23/26 at 3:00 PM we arrived at the Querce Secca property, located in Marina di Grosseto. We checked in at approximately 3:30 PM, went up to the apartment, and the receptionist gave us a quick look at the apartment; we left our bags and went out, it was about 3:45/4:00 PM. At about 11:00 PM, upon returning, we found mouse droppings or whatever everywhere, even on the beds and in the bathroom!!!! Red ants on the kitchen counter. I immediately decided to contact the receptionist who checked us in; she apologized for the lack of cleaning by the staff, I asked if we could change apartments and she told us it was not possible. She told us to go downstairs and look for ant insecticide so we could spray it on the kitchen counter (where the next day I would have had to make milk for my child, I have two children with me aged 10 and 5!!) the receptionist asked me if I wanted the owner's number, obviously I said yes, but then she contradicted herself and told me it was too late and she wouldn't have answered... (obviously we spent almost 40 minutes messaging without the slightest consideration of calling us and reassuring us, probably because she was driving, so she says in the WhatsApp voice messages... messages and/or voice messages are perhaps more dangerous than phone calls while one is driving, hands-free exists) in all this the owner obviously did not answer me anymore because it was "late". There is no one at the farmhouse to call or otherwise contact. We spent 5 days in the Wisteria cottage with my partner and our two dogs. The place is perfect for a holiday with your furry because in a quiet area and with private enclosed garden, but the furnishings are old, put together in bulk, the kitchen essential, cutlery and tools very scarce. In the bathroom not even a hook to hang towels (I asked and it was delivered the next day). On the bed an unlikely duvet. The exterior furnishings are old, the sunbeds are rusty. As often happens, the estate's pet friendly accommodation is of very poor quality compared to that of the main farmhouse, where dogs are not allowed.

Me, my husband and our 3-year-old boxer stayed a week in September in the Rosmarino cottage. Everything spotless, mosquito nets on the windows, the necessary dishes and dishes, towels and top sheets, well-kept garden with 2 sunbeds and outdoor table that at lunchtime was in the shade of the pines. the 'other house, a little 'more internal than the street, is in the sun all the time. We are very satisfied and plan to come back next year. If a suggestion I have to leave is to add some hook in the bathroom for towels.
