Max Livorno

I stayed for five days for work; the rooms are clean, although I was disappointed that the phone did not work and I was left holding the faceplate of the electrical outlet in the bathroom. The location is not optimal, and the view from the window is not the best. Breakfast consists of packaged products, except for the fruit salad. The most negative aspect is the reception service; one evening I was too tired to go out for dinner and decided to order a pizza. At 9:45 PM, I called the pizzeria to find out where it was, but they informed me that the reception did not allow the delivery person to come up and that they would contact me (this is correct; safety first). I went down to the reception to complain about my pizza, and the guy, in an annoyed tone, told me he had tried to contact me twice, but the phone in the room was not working, so it was not possible. I complained that they could have come to knock, and it was unacceptable for me to eat a cold pizza after 30 minutes. After checking out, I was contacted again by the reception, who informed me that I had left luggage in the room and asked me to come back to pick it up. In response to their request, I asked them to send me photos of the luggage, and shortly after, I was contacted and informed that they had made a mistake. I have never encountered such poor service from the reception, and I would not have expected it from a 4-star hotel.

Modern hotel. Having a car is necessary. Well-furnished and comfortable rooms. Essential breakfast. The outside is a bit abandoned; it is located near a shopping center and not far from a larger one. Advice for getting around near Versilia.....

Our experience was generally good. The positives: - very friendly reception staff; - comfortable room, with good bedding, and well soundproofed; - parking right in front of the hotel entrance; - proximity to the port of Livorno (15 minutes by car), very convenient for taking the ferry. - there is a restaurant in the hotel. The negatives: - the restaurant food is average and the staff is a bit cold; - the breakfast hours are not very convenient (6:30 AM - 9:00 AM: many hotels offer a cutoff time of 10:00 AM, or even 11:00 AM, for breakfast); - the selection offered for breakfast is quite limited; - the room is not very spacious and does not include a courtesy tray or bathrobes. In short, these are more like the services of a 3-star hotel.
