Poggio All`Agnello

We stayed in a studio apartment at the Poggio all'Agnello Resort. At the time of booking, we had specified the need for a crib. On the day of check-in, due to a ferry delay, we called to notify them that we would arrive around 11:00 PM and we again asked for confirmation of the crib's presence, which was assured to us. Unfortunately, upon our arrival, the crib was not in the room and we had to request it, with inevitable inconvenience considering the time and the presence of a small child. Another issue concerned the double bed, which was composed of two single beds placed side by side but not well secured to each other, which tended to separate easily. For a family with a child who sometimes also sleeps in the bed with her parents, this solution proved to be impractical and uncomfortable. If this feature were already indicated during the booking phase, I would still suggest evaluating more functional solutions. Overall, the property is in need of a renovation: the furnishings, walls, and various elements show clear signs of wear. Even the common areas, such as elevators and stairs, could be maintained with greater attention from a cleanliness standpoint. Inside the apartment, we felt it appropriate to rewash all the dishes before use, as they did not seem sufficiently clean to us. The crib also showed clear signs of use and was not very clean. A suggestion could be to progressively replace the wooden sun loungers with models made of materials that are easier to sanitize and disinfect, as well as less prone to showing signs of wear. We used the pool dedicated to children and noticed that both the edge and the bottom need more thorough cleaning. Among the positive aspects, however, the gardens are well-kept and the resort offers various services, especially suitable for families and those who love to practice sports activities. Overall, the property certainly has potential thanks to the large spaces and the services offered, but we believe that greater attention to maintenance, cleaning, and details would significantly improve the guest experience.

We had a very good time, we had a very spacious, clean, functional studio apartment on two levels, we stayed for two nights. The pool was beautiful, and the restaurant was also very good. The possibility of using tennis courts and ping pong tables for free was pleasant.. if desired, there were also volleyball, soccer, and basketball courts. I liked the bike path that leads to Baratti, but unfortunately, we did not find the bike rental open (I went there alone early in the morning on foot). There is no bike storage; my husband had brought his, but he kept it in the house (it was not actually a problem because the apartment was very large).

Very large resort but well laid out and organized, attentive and kind staff. Many interesting internal services even if we did not use them. Better experience than I expected. Small attentions directed at guests. Great job!!!
