B&B Le Giare

Exceptional! A family that go above and beyond to help their customers! I planned a skydive with my stepfather and I ended up in hospital with 2 fractures to my tib and fib and dislocated my ankle. My partner flew out to my side and we were Fortunate and blessed to meet such a wonderful, caring and compassionate family. My partner spent 15 plus hours in the hospital by my side and would return back to the B&B late at night. The room he stayed in was clean, spacious and nicely decorated with free wifi throughout. My partner spoke highly of Massimo and his mother and I was eager to meet them. The family were exceptionally friendly, welcoming me into their B&B and provided my partner and I with a meal shortly after our arrival/my discharge in the afternoon (note that this is a b&b) an alcoholic beverage and a local traditional dessert. I had been bitten severely by insects and Massimo mother returned with aloe Vera cream to soothe the pesky bites, but nothing would have prepared us for the wonderful hospitality that Massimo extended to me that day. Being that my partner and I did not speak the language nor knew the city of Lucca we asked for guidance/directions to a local pharmacy to buy the medication needed. Massimo went out of his way in his own time/expense to take my partner to the pharmacy and explained what we needed Including the need for crutches and the rental of a wheelchair and undertook an additional trip later that day to get the additional medication required. It is unfortunate that we could not stay at the b&b together for the duration of our unexpected trip as I could not get up the stairs to the room, but Massimo secured my partner and I in the hotel across the road, which had a lift for wheelchair access. We cannot put into words and thank Massimo, his mother and their family enough for their hospitality. Nothing is to much trouble and they are wonderful people. We will one day return to the b&b and we would truly recommend the b&b to anyone considering staying here. It caters to all your needs and you really couldn't meet a nicer family who not only open their home, but their hearts.

Amazing B&B, ultra clean, host is impeccable. Breakfast is excellent. Could not have expected any better. Super great value. Bedroom was spacious, linens were crisp, clean. You have independent access to the B&B, so you are on your own schedule.

Massimo was a wonderful host. Our stay here, and our visit to Lucca and the surrounding area was a highlight of our trip to Italy. We loved Lucca's walled city, just the right size for exploring. And we were able to visit Pisa and the coast. Massimo was most helpful in finding places to visit that we did not know about, and in planning our travels. Thank you so much.
