Hotel Villa Rinascimento

Was booked here last minute after a flight cancellation. Lovely rooms and very friendly staff. Want to particularly thank the lady who checked us in on the evening of 08.09.26 and was around in the evenings as she was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Excellent reasonably priced food too. Breakfast was good

This historical hotel is beautiful, old, quirky and interesting with the most lovely friendly and welcoming helpful staff. The Tuscan hillside views are gorgeous it is super peaceful, lovely grounds with multiple fruit trees, swings in amongst the shade of the trees a nice big pool with children's area, a great play area for kids and lots of room for them to run about (not that there were any children when we stayed there!) looks like a wonderful wedding venue. Nice terrace for dining. We stayed in a superior room on 1st floor (no lift) which was huge with own separate entry lobby and door leading to large separate bathroom so effectively 3 rooms, great modern shower, very comfy bed, big wooden shutters with nice views. Air conditioning not the best but once on a while worked fine. The restaurant was not open for dinner as it was a Sunday but there are 2 casual pizza restaurants 5-10 minutes walk from the hotel. We arrived early and could go to our room straight away although there was a dead wasp in there, the cleaner came back to our room I think to remove it but as we were already in there left us alone. No problem whatsoever. We had lunch at hotel which was limited to just sandwiches or salad but was very nice. Had nice evening cocktail in the garden. Breakfast was quite nice usual Italian buffet. Only about 25 minutes from Pisa and closer to Lucca, taxis have to come from Lucca or Pisa so you pay a supplement for that. Perfect place if you want to completely relax and enjoy the peace but also a good base if you have a car or want to use the train. I did notice a couple of areas could do with a little bit more attention eg the lovely covered terrace with the pillars and seating area needed a bit of a sweep dust and wipe but it is half outside so that is a minor point. The recreation area with games like table tennis had some grass and weeds growing through the paving that if removed would really improve the appearance and although the pool was clean and lovely the rim needed attention. Lovely hotel.

My wife and I had a one night’s stay here on the way to catching an early flight from Pisa Airport. The hotel is superb. Rooms are very comfortable and beautifully decorated with beamed ceilings. The staff was as friendly as any I have ever known. Every single one of them was fabulous, and I cannot praise them highly enough. There is a really nice swimming pool there and large grounds around it. The building itself is an old stone villa and it has been really nicely restored.. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant and had an excellent meal. The menu is not extensive, but there are still five or six choices for each course and all have been put together with a lot of thought and innovation.. we shared some grilled giant prawns on a bed of guacamole and a trio of bruschetta with different toppings. We then had an aubergine pasta and a slow roasted pork on a pepper sauce. Everything was perfect.. We shall definitely return when we are next in the area.
